The first SQDC in the West Island is now open

Feb 18 2020, 6:03 pm

West Island tokers no longer need to trek into Montreal to buy cannabis as the Société québécoise du cannabis (SQDC) has opened a location in Pointe-Claire.

Wedged in between a Couche-Tard and a Sushi shop just off Sources Boulevard, the Pointe-Claire location is open every weekday from 10 am to 9 pm and until 5 pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

The SQDC says by the end of March, the government-run cannabis shop plans to have 43 outlets across Quebec, and 100 by 2023.

“We’re fully stocked and no long lineups like in Montreal,” a Pointe-Claire SQDC employee told Daily Hive in a phone call. “Come check it out, there’s parking.”
