When you think cannabis, you may not think Martha Stewart, but the world-famous taste-maker, author, Emmy-nominated television host, and soon-to-be cannabis connoisseur will be a keynote speaker at an annual cannabis conference in Canada next month.

The World Cannabis Congress (WCC) is an exclusive, invite-only event, “for international cannabis leaders, influencers, and trendsetters” according to their website.

This year’s event will be taking place from June 16 to 18, in Saint John, New Brunswick, with big brands and high-profile personalities joining the cannabis conversation.

Stewart is partnering with the Canadian cannabis company Canopy Growth to put out a line of CBD products, “focused on improving the lives of both humans and animals.”

“I look forward to sharing my knowledge and experience in the lifestyle space with this tailored audience,” says Stewart in a statement. “As I begin to collaborate on products for the CBD market, and as the demand for these types of product grows, I’m very interested in the conversations and connections at this event.”

With the number of Canadians trying weed going up, and legalization of edibles a topic of conversation, Stewart is the perfect person to combine food and cannabis, with her decades of experience whipping up and curating creations for her cookbooks and television shows.

The guest-list for the event is extremely exclusive, and “thoughtfully curated,” and you have to apply to even attend.

It does, however, sound like it’ll be worth it — maybe Martha will even relay a few recipes for when you’ve got the munchies in her keynote speech.
