
A cannabis expo will be at Calgary’s BMO Centre this weekend to celebrate everything hemp.
The expo will be running from Saturday, September 30 to Sunday, October 1, and tickets can be purchased online for $15 a pop.
According to the Facebook event page, “the HempFest Cannabis Expo is a consumer trade show focused on all aspects of the hemp and cannabis industries.”

The event will include a joint rolling competition, where contestants are given 10 minutes to roll as many joints as they can – with a prize going to the winner. Judges will be taking style, stability, consistency, and total weight of each joint into consideration.
Canadian author and cannabis activist Dana Larson will be in attendance to speak, along with other members of the community.
The event is 18+ so there’s no kids allowed, but anyone above 17 is welcome to attend — even if they don’t have a medical card.
