A 16-year-old girl has died following a two-vehicle collision that took place in December near Morinville, Alberta.
According to Morinville RCMP, on December 19 at around 2:46 am, officers responded to a collision at Township Road 554 and Range Road 252.
Police say the collision involved an SUV and a passenger car, and all five occupants of both vehicles were transported to hospital.

The 16-year-old remained in hospital for two weeks following the incident, where she succumbed to her injuries on January 4, 2020.
According to a release, an RCMP collision analyst attended the collision scene to conduct an examination following the collision.
The RCMP continues to investigate and no other updates are available at this time.
Morinville is about 42 minutes outside of Edmonton.
