Swish Vintage, one of Edmonton’s most popular vintage stores, is asking the public to look out for a large amount of vintage jewellery after the shop says it was broken into on Monday.
The store, located at 10826 124th Street NW, wrote in a post to Facebook that it was broken into at 3:30 am on February 10.
“A man and woman pried open the door, smashed the jewellery cabinets, and stole a huge portion of our vintage jewellery. They knew exactly where to look, which means they cased the shop,” the store said.
Surveillance footage posted by the shop shows two hooded people inside the store carrying bags. Edmonton Police Service (EPS) confirmed to Daily Hive that it responded to a break-in at the location at 3:45 am on Monday.

Stolen items include 1950s rhinestones and glass, a vintage Birks vanity set and jewellery, ’70s silver jewellery, men’s Armani, Bulova, and a Marc Jacobs watch.

The store hopes the items will turn up on sites such as Facebook Marketplace or Kijiji and asks any vintage, consignment, or secondhand shops to contact them if anyone comes in with a suspicious amount of vintage jewellery.

“We are heartbroken that this continues to happen, especially to small businesses.”
