Shots fired during house party at rental home over the weekend: EPS

The Edmonton Police Service says it responded to a report of shots fired at a house party over the weekend, that was being held in a short-term rental home.

According to EPS, police received reports of a shooting that had just occurred in the area of 106 Ave and 52 St at around 2 am on Sunday morning.

“When police responded, they determined that an altercation had occurred during which shots were fired at a house party at a residence that was being used as a short-term rental,” said a statement from an EPS spokesperson.

“Police located two injured males aged 25 and 27. One of the victims was at the scene, and one had fled the scene and was located outside a nearby address in the area of 108 Avenue and 50 Street.”

Police say both males were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and there are currently no suspects in custody.

“This investigation remains ongoing, and police do not believe there is a threat to the public at this time,” said an EPS spokesperson.
