Some of the world's best breweries are coming to this Edmonton beer festival

Next month marks the fourth annual Barrel Fest in Edmonton, a one-day festival of beer made in barrels featuring breweries from around the world.
Barrel Fest is a festival run by local brewery Blind Enthusiasm Brewing Company, which has been brewing beer in Edmonton since 2018. At this exciting event, some of the world’s best brewers come together to share their barrel-aged and barrel-fermented beers with the folks right here in the city.
Taking over Ritchie Park this September, you’ll get to sip on beers you can’t find anywhere else, poured directly by the brewers who made them.

Barrel Fest 2026 is going to feature some of the world’s best breweries, and will see the return of some Canadian favourites from the past few years.
Some of the new breweries from beyond the country include Brasserie Cantillon from Brussels, Belgium. According to the festival, it is one of the world’s most prestigious brewers of Lambic beer. Fierce Beer, coming all the way from Aberdeen, Scotland, is another name joining the squad, and was actually named Scottish Brewery of the Year in 2021 by the Scottish Beer Awards.
For those returning breweries, they’ll come armed with new and rare beers from their barrel programs.
In total, there are 20 breweries on the lineup for this year. If you want a full list of all the breweries attending, we’d suggest checking out the festival’s webpage for more information.
Tickets, which are now available online for $38, include a commemorative Barrel Fest glass. At the fest, you’ll be able to get 100ml pours for $4, with service running for the entire duration of the event.
