Take a polar plunge in Edmonton this weekend for a good cause

Take a dip in icy waters in support of a good cause, with the annual polar plunge taking place in Edmonton this weekend.

This Sunday, January 26, take a plunge into the waters at Lake Summerside, to support Special Olympics athletes from Alberta.

The event will take place in cities across the province, with every dollar raised going towards more than 3,200 Special Olympics athletes representing 140 communities across Alberta.

Any and all Albertans wanting to participate are welcomed to join, allowing anyone from individuals, organizations, and businesses to get involved in support of Special Olympics.

This year’s goal for the polar plunge across Alberta is to raise $250,000, with the first plunge being the one in Edmonton on the 26th.
