As many Edmonton roads — and residents — begin to defrost after the extreme freezing temperatures last week, things are finally looking up.

According to Environment Canada‘s weekly forecast for Edmonton, the city can expect five straight days of sunshine and some temperatures above zero from this Thursday to Monday.

Snow is, however, still expected late Tuesday night and into Wednesday, with 2 cm on Tuesday and 2 to 4 cm on Wednesday, and winds up to 15 km/h.

On Thursday, skies are expected to be clear and sunny, with a high of 0°C, and the sun continues into the weekend, with a weekly high of 6°C.

Edmontonians might be just a little happy to see the sun and above-zero temperatures after the week they just had.
