How much money every Edmonton Oilers player is making in 2025-26
The Edmonton Oilers are once again shelling out the cash to players this season.
It’s another Stanley Cup-or-bust season for the Oilers, and that means that they cannot spare any expense when it comes to the talent on the ice. The team is once again pushing up against the NHL salary cap, showing that their chips are all in.
Edmonton has been very busy when it comes to signing contracts this past week. They’ve locked up Connor McDavid, Jake Walman, and Mattias Ekholm to new extensions, but all those deals won’t come into effect until next season.
The only contract that will be added to this year’s salary roll is Jack Roslovic, who signed midway through the Oilers’ home opener.
Many fans are familiar with the cap hit of each player, but what is less known is what every player will actually be making this season. The cap hit doesn’t always represent what a player actually makes in a given season.
For example, Evan Bouchard’s new four-year deal kicks in this season with a $10.5 million cap hit, but he is set to pocket $12 million this season. That kind of difference can also be seen among other top players, including Leon Draisaitl and McDavid.
