Police investigating after man found with stab wounds in northeast Edmonton

The Edmonton Police Service is investigating following an alleged assault in the northeast region of the city on Friday afternoon.

According to police, at around 12pm, Friday, January 3, officers responded to a report of a disturbance at a multi-unit residence in the area of 121 Avenue and 66 Street.

Upon arrival, police located a male in his 20s, suffering from “wounds consistent with those inflicted by an edged weapon,” according to a release from EPS.

The man was treated and transported to hospital with serious injuries.

A male and female suspects were located by police several blocks away, and then taken into custody.

Police say they continue to investigate the incident, and no other information is available at this time.
