Edmonton is in for a windy weekend, with high winds expected to hit the city following flurries during the day and overnight Friday.
According to Environment Canada, flurries are expected to begin Friday afternoon with a high of -3°C, and winds of 20 km/h expected into the evening.

The snow is expected to let up on Saturday, with a mix of sun and cloud, but the wind will ramp up, with winds between 20 km/h to 60 late in the morning, and a high of 2°C.
The sun will pay Edmontonians a brief visit on Sunday and Monday before the snow and cold temperatures return by Tuesday evening.
