This bubble tea store opened its third Alberta location right in West Edmonton Mall
A new bubble tea store has just opened shop in West Edmonton Mall.
Machi Machi is a widely popular bubble tea store across Canada. It originally started in Taiwan before expanding globally with its unique bottles for drinks and creative atmosphere. It’s grown exponentially, now having opened its second location in Edmonton and its third in Alberta.

The new store opened its doors on March 7, offering great deals to the first customers to arrive.
If you’re looking for this new location within the mall, it’s located right next to the main Galaxyland entrance. You’ll be able to find it across from Dollarama.
We talked before about the atmosphere, but the company itself has stated how committed it is to the space.
“The aesthetics of our shops provide a space for creativity and originality. We want our customers to feel Machi Machi’s imagination flowing through their body when they hold a Machi Machi bottle,” says the company on its website.
As for the drinks themselves, it specializes in organic teas and its cold foam topping. For the cold foam topping, over 30 types of cream cheeses from Japan, Australia, New Zealand and the USA were reviewed until they settled on what they serve now.
The tea leaves used for drinks are grown on three of the best farms of Yuchi, Mingjian and Sun Moon Lake, in Nantou County, Taiwan. This bubble tea place puts a lot of care and craft into the drinks they put out, and it’s obvious from the design to the taste of the drinks themselves.
