How to watch tonight's Edmonton Oilers game that won't be on Sportsnet

The Edmonton Oilers are looking for redemption tonight, but fans won’t find the game in its usual spot.

If you’re scrolling through the TV guide and having trouble finding tonight’s Oilers-Blue Jackets game, it’s for a good reason. This game will not be broadcast on Sportsnet, but will be available on the Prime streaming service instead.

Monday night’s game will be the first of three featured on the streaming giant as part of the sophomore season for Prime Monday Night Hockey. This is fewer games than last season, when four games were moved over.

Fans wanting to watch the action will need to hold a subscription to Prime Video, which costs $9.99 a month or $99 for a full year. Students can grab a discounted rate of $4.99 a month or $49 for a year. Newcomers will be eligible for a 30-day free trial (one that ups to a whopping six months for students).

Oilers fans tuning in should expect a whole new host of broadcasters handling the coverage. John Forslund will serve as the play-by-play announcer, and former NHLers Jody Shelley, Shane Hnidy, and Thomas Hickey will act as analysts.

The desk will feature former Oilers defenceman Chris Pronger, Christine Simpson, Adnan Virk, Andi Petrillo, and Blake Bolden.

Puck drop is set for 6:30 p.m. MST.
