This decadent U.K. dessert restaurant is opening its first location in Edmonton
A dessert restaurant that started in the U.K. is making its way to Edmonton for the first time ever.
Heavenly Desserts started in 2008 in the U.K. but has since expanded to over 50 locations internationally. This restaurant serves up desserts as well as brunch, with items like waffles, milk cakes, crepes, and even cookie dough making an appearance.
Now, they’re starting to take over Canada, following the success of its U.K. locations, and are now planning the openings of its Surrey and, you guessed it, Edmonton locations.
Its Edmonton spot is slated to open this month on Jan. 18, and we couldn’t be more excited.

As of now, there are only four locations across Canada: Mississauga, Pickering, Victoria, and now Edmonton. Although Surrey is set to open as well, we do not have a date or location yet.
“We have big ambitions for our Canadian restaurants, with the vision to create memorable dessert experiences that spark joy for every guest,” the team says on its website.
In Edmonton, the bustling Whyte Avenue is a hub for many up-and-coming restaurant spots, so it’s no question that Heavenly Desserts has decided to set up shop there, right near Made By Marcus.
With the restaurant slated to open this Sunday, we can only expect top-notch hospitality and food as promised on its website. Not to mention, with flavours ranging from classic to contemporary, you’ll have a wonderful time exploring the menu and scrumptious dishes they have to offer.
Whether it’s the famed croffles, one of its dessert jars, dessert tapas, or a choice of one of the many handcrafted drinks, you’re sure to have a mouthful of something delicious.
