A huge sale has 30,000 pounds of ground beef up for grabs near Edmonton

If you’re looking to stock up your freezer ahead of the winter months, a butcher shop just outside of Edmonton is having a huge ground beef sale in a couple of weeks.

Local Meats Leduc Ltd. says it will be hosting a ground beef sale on Thursday, Sept. 17, in Nisku.

The shop, which celebrated its 10th anniversary earlier this year, is known for its meat sales, including deals on bone-in pork chops, New York steaks, and pork side ribs, to name a few.

The sale will be held at the Blackjacks Roadhouse parking lot at 2110 Sparrow Dr., Nisku, and buyers can bring cash, debit, or credit for the ground beef.

There will be a staggering 30,000 pounds for sale, working out to be $6.10 per pound. The beef, which is 89 to 90 per cent lean, will be sold frozen, in 1.5-pound packs or a 45-pound case. There will be a limit of two cases per person.
