Cloudy and cold: What to expect from Edmonton's forecast this week

Feb 5 2020, 8:44 pm

Edmonton can’t seem to catch a break with this winter weather, and this week — and weekend — isn’t expected to be much different.

As snow continues to come down, 2-4 cm is expected Wednesday, according to Environment Canada, along with winds from 30 to 50 km/h in the evening.

High winds, clouds, and some below-zero temperatures are expected to last into next week.

However, while the snow is expected to slow down by Thursday afternoon, there still is a 30% chance of flurries, with a high of 1°C during the day, and high winds expected into the evening, from 20 to 40 km/h.

The sun will pop in temporarily on Friday, and then the rest of the week is expected to be a mix of sun and clouds, before the temperature dips again next week.

It’s gotten to the point in winter, that this is considered mild weather, so Edmontonians should enjoy the sun while they can.
