The weather in Edmonton has been all over the place for the past few days, and it looks as though that will continue into the weekend, with both snow and double-digit temperatures in the forecast.

It’s currently -7ºC in the city, feeling more like -11ºC, and mostly cloudy.

According to The Weather Network, snow is expected throughout Friday and Saturday, before tapering off on Sunday.

Friday will see about one centimetre of wet snow and a high of 6ºC, dropping down to -1ºC overnight. Saturday brings scattered flurries and warm temperatures, with a high of 10ºC.

Things warm up even further on Saturday, with 14ºC in the forecast and a break from the snow as a mix of sun and clouds is expected.

After the weekend, temperatures in Edmonton continue to fluctuate, and the city may see some more snow.

There’s a high of -4ºC and light snow predicted for Monday, and there could be up to three centimetres of the white fluffy stuff headed our way.

Moving into mid-week, we’ll see more spring-appropriate weather, with sunshine and a high of 2ºC on Tuesday. Wednesday brings a few flurries, but less than one centimetre of snow is expected, and there’s a high of 8ºC in the forecast.

Things warm up further by next Thursday, with more sunshine and a high of 11ºC forecast for the city.

Let’s hope that Edmonton gets even nicer weather next weekend, so that we can enjoy another couple of sunny days drinking patio beers and walking in the fresh air.
