Even though we’re in a pandemic, there are still several companies looking to hire Edmonton residents this month.

City of Edmonton

  • Who: The City of Edmonton is the municipal governing body that keeps public services in Edmonton running.
  • Jobs: It’s hiring more than a dozen positions open to external candidates right now, including various types of technicians, managers of departments, and general labourers.
  • Perks: The City says it has a commitment to work/life balance and its positions come with a comprehensive benefits package.

  • Who: This Montreal-headquartered company is the largest dockless carsharing operator in Canada. They already operate in Edmonton and launched in Calgary in September.
  • Jobs: Communauto is hiring one position based in Edmonton right now: an Experienced Developer
  • Perks: The company offers flexible hours, work-from-home, paid leave and a comprehensive benefits package. The company also organizes social gatherings including a Christmas party, happy hours, and sometimes a visit to a maple syrup sugar shack.

  • Who: This global retail giant just opened a new warehouse near Edmonton’s airport, and it employs about 600 full-time staff.
