Tree Lighting Ceremony

What: Fairmont Hotel Macdonald hosts its annual Tree Lighting Ceremony to bring awareness to Christmas Bureau of Edmonton, and also in dedication to Second Chance Animal Rescue Society. The ceremony will reveal Fairmont Hotel Macdonald largest gingerbread house to date, plus features live musical performances by Hilwie Hamdon School. Three Ladies

FIBA Women’s Olympic Pre-Qualifying Americas Tournament

What: The new Olympic pre-qualification tournaments qualifies teams for the FIBA Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournaments 2020, and then on to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Team Canada, currently ranked fifth worldwide in the FIBA World Ranking, will need to finish in the top two in the group to advance. They will take on Puerto Rico (November 16), and Dominican Republic (November 17).
