Edmonton’s weekly Streetcar Cask Series serves local craft beer with river valley views

Hop aboard! One of Edmonton’s most exciting experiences combines everything beer and everything Edmonton for a scenic journey on one of Edmonton’s historic streetcars.

The Streetcar Cask Series has been providing rides over the High Level Bridge for nine years now, complete with locally brewed craft beer and light snacks. The series combines a ride on a streetcar where riders learn more about Edmonton’s rich history surrounding the streetcar system and the High Level Bridge while tasting cask beer.

Every Thursday evening from May until October, The Common will feature a rotating lineup of Alberta breweries that will showcase their beer on board. Each trip promises a unique brew that will be exclusively available onboard.

Some local breweries featured are Born Brewing Co., Odd Company Brewing, Town Square Brewing Co., and Long Roof Brewing, to name a few.

Upcoming streetcar experiences will showcase Cabin Brewing Co. and Odd Company Brewing on July 10 and Town Square Brewing and Annex Brewing Co. on July 17.

If you’re not a fan of beer or happen to be gluten-free, The Common will be offering a seltzer from Shiddys and a cider from Manual Labour on July 24.
