This festival in Edmonton is highlighting all types of dumplings

Dumpling Fest is bringing a wide variety of dishes to Edmonton’s table this September, offering guests a chance to try all kinds of dumplings from around the world.
This new experience is giving people the opportunity to experience different restaurants all serving their own type of dumpling. Each restaurant will be serving up Tasting Plates for you to enjoy, with these bites possibly including Chinese soup dumplings, Indian kofta, Korean mandu, Mexican empanadas, or Nepalese momos, among other dumpling varieties.
However, the restaurants haven’t been revealed quite yet. Those participating in the food crawl will be emailed five days in advance of the event with the participating restaurants, map, menu, and all the other event details.
This experience will be taking place on Wednesday, Sept. 23, from 5 to 9 p.m.
You don’t have to feel pressured by time constraints, as you’re welcome to start the tour anytime after 5 p.m. with no time limit to restaurant stays. However, if you want to have enough time to visit all of the participating locations during the tour, it is suggested that you arrive at your assigned location within the first half hour of the experience.
For those who are vegetarian and want to get in on the action, it’s your lucky day! The festival can provide vegetarian substitutions, given you send them a message after purchasing tickets.
Speaking of tickets, there’s an early-bird special. Until Sept. 13, tickets will be $65.48 including fees and GST. After that, regular-priced tickets will be $76.3 including fees and GST.
This is a great opening to discover some new dishes and maybe even your new favourite dumpling. Mark your calendars, because this food tour festival will be one you won’t want to miss.
