This Edmonton cafe is undergoing a complete transformation before its reopening

Quiet Cafe is going to be taking over a cafe space Edmonton knows well, completely transforming it ahead of its opening this month.
Before Quiet Cafe, there was the Ark Cafe, known for its 2-D interior design that makes it look like you’ve just stepped straight into a storybook painting. It took over the northside almost six years ago and, after a good run in the city, the team behind the unique cafe announced they would be selling it. It closed on Aug. 15.
This week, the new ownership made an announcement about the new cafe, while acknowledging the community space it once held.
“We know that for many of you, Ark Cafe has been more than just a place to grab a coffee. It has been a place to meet, talk for hours, take beautiful photos, spend time with someone you love, or simply slow down and enjoy a quiet moment,” reads the new team on Instagram. “And we understand how important it is to preserve that feeling.”
In an effort to keep what matters most, the cafe is “transforming with art, beautiful landscapes, natural details and little corners made to be enjoyed and photographed.”

The cafe announced it’d be opening its doors this Saturday, Aug. 29, at 10 a.m. With this opening comes a couple of new things to enjoy at this neighbourhood spot.
Quiet Cafe’s drink menu will be expanding upon Ark Cafe’s menu, offering a wide selection of coffee, unique teas, and new flavours and combinations to enjoy. You’ll also be able to munch on more desserts with new flavours and custom cakes made-to-order by the chef in-house.
The most important change is that Quiet Cafe will be open every day of the week with extended opening hours.
If you’re ready for this all-new cafe experience, mark your calendars for this weekend. You won’t want to be late to the game on this one.
