Canada’s original dirty soda brand opens first Edmonton shop with 100+ drink combos
Those interested in the viral sensation of dirty sodas no longer need to look any further, as Canada’s “dirty soda” shop has opened its doors at its first-ever brick-and-mortar location in Sherwood Park.
Sip Soda Co. established itself in 2024 with a mobile trailer and decided to open its first-ever location within the Edmonton area this year. The shop is a fully Canadian brand, proudly bringing dirty soda across the border and up north for everyone to enjoy.
First off: what is dirty soda?
Dirty soda was popularized on social media after the hit TV show The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives was released, as the concept originated in Utah and is extremely popular with members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As Mormons can’t have alcohol and are expected to abstain from drinking coffee and tea, dirty soda is the indulgence of many to quench their thirst.
This fizzy drink has a soda base with the option of cream, syrups, and juices combined with ice to create a mixed concoction deemed “dirty soda.”

With over 100 recipes for customers to choose from as well as a customizable option, Sip Soda Co. brings a rich, refreshing and flavourful spin on the sodas everyone knows and loves.
Its three new and featured flavours are the Starting Lineup with half Dr. Pepper and half Cream Soda, flavoured with vanilla, coconut, cream, and fresh lime; the Dirty Drumheller with Mountain Dew and a splash of 7-UP, raspberries, frozen berries, and ice cream; and the Full Send Citrus with Orange Soda, a splash of 7-UP, orange juice, and cranberry juice, with fresh orange, lemon, and lime.
