A new coffee house has opened in this Edmonton neighbourhood
Brisk and Brew opened this July in Edmonton, bringing the Allendale community a place to gather, connect, and recharge.
Surprisingly enough, this area in Allendale didn’t have a coffee shop before last month. Born from the idea that a neighbourhood deserves its own spot for folks to be together, Brisk and Brew has come to Edmonton with the purpose of making that idea a reality. With the owners living in the neighbourhood itself, it only made sense to start there.
“Our vision is to offer more than just exceptional coffee; we want to be a hub for students, families, professionals, and anyone who enjoys being part of a vibrant local atmosphere,” the team says on its website. “With a focus on quality, comfort, and community, Brisk and Brew is excited to become a daily ritual for our neighbors and a welcoming stop for anyone passing through.”
In July, the cafe entered its soft opening phase, and the community has definitely shown up to visit and support its members.

“As we make our way to two weeks of soft opening, we wanted to take a moment and say thank you to everyone who came in and said hello, grabbed coffee or fresh-baked goods,” reads the team’s post on Instagram.
There isn’t an exact menu posted anywhere online, so we can’t give you any details on the eats. But it’s safe to assume this spot will have classic cafe snacks, sandwiches, and more.
As for hours, this new cafe is open every day beginning at 8 a.m. From Sunday to Thursday, it closes at 9 p.m., and on Fridays and Saturdays, it stays open until 10 p.m.
