The Hoagie Half is taking the competition to not just one city but two for its second official year running. Vancouver isn’t the only one running this race anymore; Edmonton has joined the fray.

If you aren’t familiar, the Hoagie Half is a half-marathon relay race that began last year in Vancouver. This is for all the runners, foodies, fun-seekers, and anyone seeking a thrilling, unique experience. Trust us when we tell you, you’ve never seen anything like this in Edmonton before.

Here at this race, you can expect a wild atmosphere, serious cheers, and one of the most fascinating races Edmonton has ever seen.

As described by the event itself, teams of four will race between Happy Beer Street and the Garneau location of Farrow, with each team member running to the shop, grabbing a sandwich, and racing it back to the base. Each team will collectively run 21 kilometres, with every individual member running around five kilometres.

If you’re up for the challenge, now is the time to start creating a team. The Edmonton event will be held this upcoming Sept. 19, so while there is still time to plan, it’s also time to set it in motion.

Tickets are currently on an early-bird sale, with team tickets (for four people) being $74.09. Prices of general admission tickets will increase on Aug. 10, and spectator tickets will go on sale on Aug. 12 for $12.58.

Those on teams, your tickets will include a limited-edition Hoagie Half t-shirt, a hoagie, a welcome beer, and entry to the huge after-party with DJs, drinks, and even more prizes.
