A popular Edmonton candy shop is opening a new location in the city
Be-a-Bella, a local candy shop, has announced it’ll be opening another location in Edmonton.
Kathy and Nigel Prosser have been operating this candy shop and gift store since 2014. According to its website, the business was named after their basset hound, Bella, who got ill and passed away.
For over a decade, these two have been bringing fresh and unique candy varieties to their one shop in Edmonton, and this September, they announced they’ll be expanding to bring the delicious candy to another part of the city.
Following the initial announcement, the team behind the candy shop made another post on Sept. 23 to let us know this new location would be coming very, very soon.

This time around, the candy shop will be located in the Glenora neighbourhood, right next to one of the best coffee shops in North America, The Colombian.
The official opening date for this new location is Oct. 8 at 10 a.m. As for the rest of the regular opening hours, stay tuned, as the business hasn’t revealed them just yet.
For those who may be worried about the old Highlands location closing, have no fear. In the comment section of one of their most recent announcement posts, one person expressed relief, stating they are “glad the team isn’t closing its first one.”
“No way,” the team replied. “We love Be-a-Bella Highlands.”
Until the arrival of this new Glenora location, you’re welcome to check out the original spot in Highlands, open daily for those cravings you can’t resist. Whether it’s in Highlands or Glenora, you can bet Be-a-Bella is going to satisfy your sweet tooth like no other.
