There's a new soup-less ramen restaurant open in southside Edmonton

Edmonton has got a new ramen spot specializing in Nagoya-style Taiwan mazemen, a soup-less, broth-less variation of ramen.
Global Ramen is one of the newest restaurants in the city and, according to its website, it was created to bring the Nagoya-style Taiwan mazesoba dish to Edmonton. The restaurant launched its soft opening on Sept. 10, and it’s been open for business ever since.

If you don’t know what to expect with this dish, mazesoba ramen is unlike the traditional variation you might be used to. Mazesoba features thick noodles mixed with savoury sauce, aromatic oils, and fresh toppings to create a simple but flavorful bowl — all with the use of a standard broth you’d see in ramen dishes.
However, if you are in the mood for a typical ramen dish, its menu does include that as well.
As for its opening hours, the “expected” hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, though this is subject to change.
All that being said, this new restaurant is ready for business. If you find yourself on the south side of Edmonton in need of a quick meal, Global Ramen is definitely a spot you should keep an eye out for.
