Lauren Kyle McDavid's stunning new Edmonton bar opens next week

It’s one of the most highly anticipated openings in Edmonton, and now the time is finally here.
Right at the beginning of the year, Edmonton was buzzing with the news that Lauren Kyle McDavid, wife of Connor McDavid, would be opening her bar in the city. While information has been teased about what to expect from the new space, we now have an opening date, with Bar Trove slated to officially open to the public on June 6.
Taking residence in Edmonton’s iconic Canada Permanent Building, Bar Trove is a nod to the bars of Paris and London, with charm and sophistication in spades. Each feature has been carefully considered, from its wood-panelled walls, comfy furnishings, and fixtures, which all contribute to its historical charm.

While Bar Trove has yet to reveal its menu, Edmontonians should expect expertly crafted cocktails, fine wines, and premium spirits. There will also be a selection of shareable plates and bites, such as oysters and caviar.
Kyle McDavid, who owns her own interior design business and apparel company, also launched Trove Living, a curated furniture showroom, in conjunction with the bar.
“Bar Trove felt like a natural extension of Trove Living – giving people a place to gather, experience beautiful design, and enjoy incredible food and drinks in a curated setting,” Kyle McDavid and her business partner, Brittany Schulz, told Dished earlier this year.
