McDavid's wife Lauren teases Oilers-themed fashion line

Connor McDavid’s wife, Lauren, appears to be getting into the fashion business, and she is targeting Edmonton Oilers fans.

A new post to her Instagram teased a new venture called Sports Club Atelier, a self-described apparel company. The post also contained six photos of Lauren and other women modelling a collection of Oilers-themed fashion items, including jackets and sweatshirts.

“A little something caught on film, coming soon,” Lauren captioned the post.

Sports Club Atelier appears to have been founded by Lauren. The company’s Instagram bio says that it specializes in “A curated selection of timeless, collectible, and quality pieces by Lauren Kyle,” and the only post featured on its account is the one posted by her.

Some of the pieces shown in the post resemble the custom-made jackets that Lauren wore along with other Oilers wives and girlfriends during last year’s playoff run.

Perhaps that was a test run for this new fashion line.

This also wouldn’t be Lauren’s first business to launch in the Alberta capital. She is also an interior designer and runs her own firm under the name “Kyle and Co.” with an office located in central Edmonton.

She spoke more about that side of her life in a now-infamous 2021 Architectural Digest video that toured the McDavid home.

It’s unclear whether Sports Club Atelier will open a shop or if Lauren’s fashion brand will partner with the Oilers’ team store, Ice District Authentics, located right outside the Oilers’ home rink at Rogers Place.

Either way, fans are sure to be eager to get their hands on some of these unique-looking items to show their support for not only the Oilers but also the McDavid family.
