Alberta has surpassed 300,000 total coronavirus tests

An update from the Province of Alberta has supplied new info on coronavirus cases in the province.

According to Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Deena Hinshaw, there have been 64 new cases over the past 48 hours, bringing the total number of known cases to 7,202.

However, of that total, only 355 are still active.

She also added that 11,025 coronavirus tests were conducted in the province over the past 48 hours, bringing the province’s total over 300,000.

Hinshaw announced the results for the 14,853 asymptomatic tests completed since May 12, stating that only six positive cases were discovered.

Total recoveries have reached 6,698 in Alberta, and there are currently 44 cases in hospital, six of which are in intensive care units.
