'Love is Blind Canada' now casting for its first season and here's how to apply
Is love truly blind? If you’re a Canadian looking for love, now’s your chance to find out as the global phenom Love is Blind is now casting for its inaugural Canadian edition.
Since the hit “social experiment” dating show debuted in 2020 — right in the middle of peak pandemic lockdowns — Love is Blind has grown into a massive franchise, spawning more than a dozen international editions, including Sweden, Mexico, Brazil, and Japan. So it’s only fair that Canadians finally get their turn at falling in love behind a wall and getting engaged to someone whom they’ve never seen before.
On Aug. 11, Netflix Canada announced on X that, finally, after six years of waiting, a Canuck version of the “social experiment” dating show is on its way.

Back in 2024, the streaming service put out a casting call looking for folks residing in Canada, Ireland, and the U.K.; however, it appears that never came to fruition, not for Canadians anyway.
Now, Netflix and Toronto-based production company Insight Productions — responsible for other hit shows like Canada Shore, Big Brother Canada, and Amazing Race Canada — are looking for singles across the country who want to be a part of one of the most-watched unscripted series in the world.

Just how successful is it? Well, according to Deadline, the reunion for the latest Love Is Blind season pulled in 8.9 million views, and that doesn’t even include Canadian viewers. There’s solid proof Canucks are tuning in: whenever a new season drops, Love Is Blind routinely lands among Netflix Canada’s Top 10 most-watched shows for weeks on end.
How can I apply for ‘Love is Blind Canada’?
If you’re single, open-minded, and ready for a committed relationship (after all, you have a 50/50 shot at getting married by the end of the experiment), then you can fill out an application online and submit a video along with one recent photo of yourself.
The application asks for basic information, including your name, phone number, and email address, and requires applicants to create an account with a password. You’ll also need to review and agree to the show’s casting eligibility requirements, privacy statement, and terms of use before submitting your application.
Am I eligible to be on ‘Love is Blind Canada’?
According to the casting notice, you must be at least 19 years old when applying for Love is Blind Canada and must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident as of Jan. 1, 2027.
If selected to move forward, you will then have to be available for a video interview and, if ultimately chosen for the show, be prepared to spend approximately 14 days at the Love is Blind Canada set, which will be in Toronto.
The location may come as a surprise given how so many of Netflix’s scripted and unscripted shows have filmed out west, including Age of Attraction, which was shot around Whistler and Vancouver. But this time, it looks like the pods will open in the GTA.
Being comfortable being recorded 24/7 is a huge requirement. Contestants will live with up to 40 other hopeful singles with little to no privacy, while cameras and microphones record their every move. That includes all your awkward conversations, crash-outs, and questionable romantic decisions.
When can I apply for ‘Love is Blind Canada’?
Casting is now open, but there will be plenty of time to apply. The current application deadline for Love is Blind Canada is Nov. 2, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.
