Although it was a win just shy of the jackpot, one Canadian lottery player is taking home the six-figure Lotto Max second prize.

The recent Lotto Max draw took place on Tuesday, February 11, and the winning numbers were 01, 08, 17, 22, 39, 45, 46, and bonus 23. No one matched the seven winning numbers to win the jackpot worth $20 million.

However, someone did win the second prize after they matched six of the seven winning numbers and the bonus number. According to PlayNow, the winning ticket was sold in Ontario, and the lucky winner is now $144,088.70 richer.

Twenty-nine lottery players matched six of the seven winning numbers, netting themselves the third prize. The money will be split between them, and each will receive $4,968.60.

In BC, no one won the $500,000 Lotto Max Extra prize, and similarly, in Ontario, no one won the $1 million Encore prize.

It hasn’t been long since someone last won the Lotto Max jackpot.

One lottery player won the life-changing prize worth $25 million after they matched the winning numbers 02, 08, 09, 16, 27, 37, and 38 during the Friday, January 31 draw.

According to OLG, the ticket was sold in Ontario. This was the second big Lotto Max jackpot won this year. The first was the $60 million jackpot that another Ontario resident won during the January 21 draw. The winning numbers were 13, 15, 21, 35, 36, 42, and 47.

Hoping to try your luck again? The next Lotto Max draw this week is set for Valentine’s Day, and the top prize is now worth $25 million. Good luck!
