A Canadian lottery player woke up a brand-new millionaire after a lucky Lotto 6/49 draw.
Wednesday night’s draw had $30 million up for grabs in the Gold Ball jackpot. Unfortunately, no one nabbed the top prize, but someone in Ontario did match all of the lottery numbers 40983269-01 to win the $1 million White Ball prize.
That wasn’t the only big win from last night’s draw. The winning numbers for the Classic Draw prize were 11, 13, 15, 16, 38, 48, and bonus 25.

While no one won the $5 million jackpot, two people did match five out of six numbers, including the bonus, to split the second prize. One lottery player from Alberta and one from Ontario are each going home with $109,576.50.
The winning numbers for the Classic Draw Extra prize were 43, 47, 61, and 76. Sadly, the $500,000 top prize went unclaimed. However, 39 Canadians did match three out of four winning numbers, taking home a modest $1,000 each.
If you had no luck this time around, you’ll have another chance in Saturday’s draw. The Lotto 6/49 Gold Ball jackpot balloons up to $32 million with 19 balls left.
There’s also Friday’s Lotto Max draw with a massive jackpot of $50 million and two Maxmillions up for grabs.
Don’t forget to check your lottery tickets from Tuesday’s Lotto Max draw, where two Canadians won the second prize.
You could end up like 26-year-old winner Bocheng Mei, who struck gold in a May Lotto 6/49 draw, taking home a life-changing $60 million.
His parents were the first to receive a call about the amazing news.
“I tried to be very calm when I told them I’d won a big prize. They wanted to make sure I wasn’t being tricked, but they know I’m always very cautious,” said Mei. “When I told them the prize was $60 million, I reassured them they would never need to worry about money again. I told them they could retire and enjoy life. They were so shocked to hear the news.”
