Canadian lottery players had their eyes on a massive jackpot, and several will end up walking away with some big prizes.

The highly anticipated Lotto Max draw took place on Tuesday, Oct. 6, and the winning numbers were 11, 12, 22, 31, 32, 46, and 50, with bonus number 07. But even though no one won the $80 million jackpot, some people will still take home some impressive prizes.

One lottery player from Ontario managed to match six of the seven numbers and the bonus number, winning the second prize worth $305,126.30. A total of 67 winners matched six of the seven numbers and will split the third prize, each receiving $4,640.30.

At the time, there were 12 Maxmillions to be won, and three people just became instantly $1 million richer. Two of the tickets were sold in Ontario, while the other was sold in Winnipeg, Man. Two lottery players — one from Ontario and another from Quebec — will split a $1 million prize.

There were also 75 MaxPlus prizes up for grabs, each worth $100,000. Five of the winning tickets were sold in Ontario, three in B.C., four in Western Canada, and two in Nova Scotia. Two of the prizes will be split between several winners.

In B.C., no one won the $500,000 Lotto Max Extra Prize, but a lottery player in Ontario is $1 million richer after scoring the Encore top prize.

The next Lotto Max jackpot is on Friday, Oct. 9, and the jackpot is now at $80 million. There are also 14 Maxmillions prizes and 80 MaxPlus prizes to be won.

The last time someone won the jackpot was on Aug. 25, when a lottery player from St. Catharines, Ont., won $10 million. There’s also an unclaimed $40-million Lotto Max jackpot that’s set to expire later this month.
