Although there were no jackpot wins, a couple of Canadian lottery players still had reasons to be grateful over Thanksgiving weekend after scoring some impressive wins.

The Lotto Max draw took place on Friday, Oct. 10, and the winning numbers were 04, 09, 10, 16, 33, 45, 50, and bonus 36. At the time, the jackpot was worth $10 million. But even though no one scored the top prize, three people did match six of the seven numbers and the bonus to win the second prize, worth $48,754.80. The tickets were sold in Vancouver, B.C., Rothesay, N.B., and Ontario.

The third prize will be split among 28 people, each receiving $5,223.70.

Someone in B.C. became instantly $500,000 richer after they won the Lotto Max Extra top prize. The winning ticket was sold in Chilliwack. No one in Ontario won the $1-million Encore prize.

The last time someone won the jackpot was on Tuesday, Oct. 7, when someone from Edmonton, Alta., scored the $15-million prize.

The next Lotto Max draw is on Tuesday, Oct. 14, and the jackpot is once again at $15 million.

No one will take home the $5-million Lotto 6/49 Classic Draw Prize; however, another winner from Alberta scored the second prize worth $250,853.20.

The third prize will be split among 76 winners who’ll each receive $1,386.

No one in B.C. won the Classic Draw Extra prize worth $500,000. Similarly, no one in Ontario won the $1-million Encore prize.

The last time someone won the Lotto 6/49 Gold Ball prize was on Aug. 27, when Quebec resident Claude Boucher won the $46-million Gold Ball Jackpot.

The next Lotto 6/49 draw is set for Wednesday, Oct. 15. The Gold Ball prize is worth $36 million.
