Canadian lottery player reminded of his grandma in the way he won

A Canadian lottery player is now a multimillionaire, and the way he won has reminded him of his grandmother.

Edmonton resident Brent Bogle won a whopping $3 million on a $30 Platinum Scratch & Win ticket, and was out of town for work when he took a trip to pick up some groceries and decided to buy a ticket.

When Bogle got back to work and checked his tickets, he was stunned.

“I swore a little bit,” he admitted while speaking with Lotto Spot. “I couldn’t believe it, actually.”

“It was disbelief [I felt] at first,” he continued. “My grandma used to get Scratch & Win tickets all the time, and this win is reminding me of her.”

Bogle intends to focus on the future when it comes to spending his winnings, looking at some investments and setting himself up for an earlier-than-anticipated retirement.

“I may take a trip back home to the East Coast as well,” he smiled. “I have siblings out there.”

Bogle purchased his $30 Platinum Scratch & Win from Britton’s Your Independent Grocer at 10527 101st Ave. in Lac La Biche.
