
One lucky Canadian lottery player has a reason to celebrate after becoming instantly $1 million richer over the weekend.
The Lotto Max draw occurred on Friday, May 30, and the winning numbers were 07, 09, 18, 24, 25, 31, 48, and bonus 14. No one won the $15-million jackpot or the $153,966.20 second prize. However, according to PlayNow, 32 Canadians will receive $4,811.40 after splitting the third prize.
No one in B.C. won the $500,000 Lotto Max Extra Prize, and similarly, no one in Ontario won the $1-million Encore prize.
It hasn’t been long since someone last won the jackpot.
A lottery player in B.C. won the $40-million Lotto Max jackpot after purchasing their ticket in Burnaby. The draw took place on Friday, May 23. The winning numbers were 13, 19, 23, 26, 36, 39, 47, and the bonus number was 07.
The next Lotto Max draw is set for Tuesday, June 3, and the jackpot is worth $20 million.

The recent Lotto 6/49 draw was a lucky one for several Canadians.
Although no one won the $22-million Gold Ball prize, someone did score the White Ball prize, instantly becoming $1 million richer. The winning number was 21412149-01, and the ticket was sold in Western Canada.
No one won the Lotto 6/49 Classic Draw prize worth $5 million; however, three lottery players did manage to match five of the six winning numbers and the bonus number. As a result, they’ll each receive their share worth $60,915.10. The winning tickets were sold in Western Canada, Ontario, and Quebec.
No one in B.C. won the Lotto 6/49 Classic Draw prize worth $500,000, and no one in Ontario will be taking home the $1-million Encore prize.
The last time someone won the Lotto 6/49 jackpot was on May 7, when a lottery player from Ontario scored the $60-million prize.
The next draw is scheduled for Wednesday, June 4, and the Gold Ball prize is worth $24 million.
