The weekend brought life-changing news for one Canadian lottery player who just scored an impressive prize.

The Lotto 6/49 draw took place on Saturday, Nov. 8, and although no one won the Gold Ball jackpot worth $22 million, one lottery player managed to match the winning number 52465903-03 to win the White Ball prize. As a result, the lottery player who purchased their winning ticket in Ontario is now $1 million richer, according to PlayNow.

There were no winners for the $5-million Lotto 6/49 Classic Draw prize; however, someone did score the second prize. The lucky ticket was sold in Ontario, and the winner will take home a prize worth $201,179.50. The third prize will be split between 79 winners, and each of them will receive $1,069.30.

In B.C., no one won the Lotto 6/49 Classic Draw Extra prize worth $500,000, and similarly in Ontario, no one won the $1-million Encore prize.

The most recent Lotto 6/49 jackpot win was on Oct. 15, when Stacey Boyce of Whitecourt, Alta., won the $36-million Gold Ball prize.

The next Lotto 6/49 draw is on Wednesday, Nov. 12, and the Gold Ball prize is worth $24 million.
