A single Lotto 6/49 lottery ticket has transformed one Canadian into a brand-new millionaire overnight.
The most recent lottery draw took place on Wednesday, Sept. 24, and the Lotto 6/49 Gold Ball prize was worth $24 million. Although no one won the top prize, someone did match the White Ball winning number 75232902-01 to score the $1-million prize. According to PlayNow, the ticket was sold in Quebec.

The Lotto 6/49 Classic Draw winning numbers were 09, 10, 12, 17, 46, 49, and bonus 30, but no one scored the $5 million prize. However, after they matched five of the six winning numbers and the bonus number, someone in Ontario did win the Classic Draw second prize worth $161,638.60.
A total of 73 Canadians will split the third prize after they matched five of the six winning numbers. They’ll each take home their share worth $929.80.
No one in B.C. won the Classic Draw Extra prize worth $500,000, and in Ontario, no one won the $1-million Encore top prize.
The most recent Lotto 6/49 jackpot winner is Claude Boucher, a resident of the Bois-Francs region in Centre-du-Québec, who won the Gold Ball Jackpot worth $46 million in the Aug. 27 draw.
“I was scrolling quickly and I thought, ‘$46,000 isn’t too bad! But what are all those zeros? Oh, it’s $46,000,000!’” Boucher recalled.
