A Canadian lottery player managed to beat the odds and win a massive multimillion-dollar prize in the recent draw.

The Lotto 6/49 draw took place on Wednesday, June 4, and the Gold Ball prize was worth $24 million. Although no one won the top prize, one lucky Canadian did win the White Ball prize worth $1 million after they matched the winning number 69887514-01. According to PlayNow, the winning ticket was sold in Quebec.

The wins don’t end there.

The Lotto 6/49 Classic Draw winning numbers were 08, 20, 30, 39, 41, and 48, with a bonus of 18, and someone managed to match all six numbers. As a result, one lottery player just woke up $5 million richer. The life-changing ticket was purchased in Ontario.

No one won the $252,214.80 second prize, but 62 lottery players across Canada did match five of the six winning numbers to win the third prize. As a result, each winner will receive their share worth $1,708.20.

No one in B.C. won the Classic Draw Extra prize worth $500,000. Similarly, no one in Ontario matched the Encore winning numbers to win the $1-million top prize.

It’s been a while since someone took home the Lotto 6/49 Gold Ball prize.

The last time someone won the Lotto 6/49 jackpot was on May 7, when a lottery player from Ontario scored the $60-million prize. According to OLG, the ticket was purchased online.

The next Lotto 6/49 draw is scheduled for Saturday, June 7, and the Gold Ball prize is valued at $26 million.
