Although no one won the Lotto 6/49 jackpot, one Canadian will still be going home with a massive lottery win.
The recent draw took place on Wednesday, April 23, and there were no winners for the Gold Ball prize, worth a whopping $52 million. Despite that, someone did match the White Ball winning number 48116135-02, instantly winning the guaranteed $1-million prize. According to PlayNow, that ticket was sold in Ontario.
One lottery player who purchased their ticket in Prince George, B.C., will also be celebrating a life-changing win. They matched all six of the Lotto 6/49 Classic draw winning numbers 09, 15, 22, 24, 40, 49, and bonus 25, making them instantly $5 million richer.
There was also a second prize worth $245,563.30, but no one matched five of the six numbers and the bonus number to win it. The third prize will go to 88 winners who’ll each receive $1,171.70 after they matched five of the six winning numbers.
