Justin Trudeau shares father-son moment on B.C. summer road trip

Justin Trudeau is out of office and officially in his dad era.
The former prime minister shared glimpses of his B.C. road trip this week, featuring rafting, a gondola ride, and hiking with his youngest son, Hadrien.
The July 13 Instagram post shows the pair making their way through classic West Coast tourist stops, while enjoying all the nature and outdoor adventure B.C. has to offer.

“Took a road trip with Hadrien from Vancouver to Whistler and Victoria! Loads of fun activities together,” Trudeau wrote in the post’s caption.
After a steady dip in support and the sudden cabinet resignation of former deputy prime minister Chrystia Freeland in December 2024, Trudeau announced he would resign as Liberal Party leader and prime minister in January 2025.
Trudeau shares love for B.C.
While Trudeau may have clocked out of federal politics, B.C. continues to be one of his favourite backdrops.
Over the years, he’s made headlines for dining at Tasty Indian Bistro in Delta, popping into White Spot, and making an appearance at the Fountainhead Pub in Vancouver.
During his time as prime minister, he also frequently vacationed in Tofino with his family.
Last year, Trudeau’s trip to the surf town was disrupted by a right-wing reporter who approached him while he was trying to enjoy a private outing with his kids on the beach.
Since his resignation, Trudeau has also shared snapshots of his life out of office.
In March, he posted a selfie while casually shopping for home goods at Canadian Tire.

He’s also shown support for his eldest son, Xavier, who is pursuing a music career.
In May, Trudeau shared a lighthearted clip on Instagram with the aspiring singer while they both watched Xavier’s music for his first single titled “Back Me Up.”
