If you have stacked up a bunch of Aeroplan points, you can now use them to sail the seas and enjoy the cruise life.

Air Canada announced on Monday that it has expanded its loyalty offerings, allowing Aeroplan members to redeem points for cruise vacations directly through its website.

The new feature includes access to more than 100 cruise itineraries, including major ports such as Fort Lauderdale, Hawaii, Mexico, Barcelona, Venice, Athens, Rome, Lisbon, London, and Nice. New destinations like Naples and river cruises in Porto and Prague are also part of the portfolio.

“We’re thrilled to bring Aeroplan Members one step closer to their next cruise vacation,” said Nino Montagnese, vice president of Air Canada Vacations. “This is just one of the many perks available when booking travel with us.”

Aeroplan points can already be used for vacation packages, flight and hotel bundles, and guided tours. Members also earn points on the flight portion of their trip and can collect up to 20,000 bonus points on select Air Canada Vacations packages to destinations across North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and South America.

“With cruise packages now available for redemption, members can choose from even more incredible journeys—from a relaxing river cruise in Europe to an expedition in Antarctica,” said Scott O’Leary, vice president of loyalty and product at Air Canada.

More recent Aeroplan changes

On Aug. 6, Air Canada announced that it’s changing the way members could earn points.

Currently, Aeroplan members earn points based on the distance they travel. However, starting Jan. 1, 2026, members will earn points for every dollar spent on eligible Air Canada flights.

For example, if you spend $427 on base fare and carrier surcharges, you’ll earn 427 points. Taxes, fees, and any third-party charges aren’t included. Measures to earn points faster were also shared.

The following month, the carrier announced that those booking their 2026 getaway could earn up to 20,000 extra Aeroplan points on select vacation packages with Air Canada Vacations.

Travel package options include popular destinations in Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America, and South America. Additionally, you can earn points on flight and hotel packages in Hawaii and Florida. To earn points, you have to book a minimum seven-night stay and travel between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2026.

As far as redemption goes, you can now also use your Aeroplan points to buy concert and sports event tickets.
