This year's Calgary Stampede will feature a 140-foot high zipline
The 2018 Calgary Stampede is set to be the wildest, fastest, and most exciting one yet, as another adrenaline-inducing addition has been announced for this year’s Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth.
A 140-foot tall, multi-point zipline will be suspended over the Stampede Grounds for the entirety of this year’s festivities, giving Calgarians and visitors alike the chance to take it all in from a bird’s eye view.

According to a release from the Calgary Stampede, the ride measures in as the tallest and longest multi-point zipline in all of North America, spanning nearly four football fields in length.
“Adrenaline junkies are in for an extra dose of excitement with the addition of the zipline at this year’s Stampede,” said Kyle Corner, manager of entertainment and programming at the Calgary Stampede, in the release.
“Riders will get the thrill of a lifetime, reaching high speeds all while taking in the Stampede Midway from end-to-end!”
Zipliners will travel up to 50 km/h as they zoom over the Midway from the Grandstand Court to a platform near the BMP Centre. From there, they will strap into yet another zipline, with this one landing them safely near the Kids’ Midway.
The entire experience will cost $50, and tickets can be purchased from one of two ticket booths located near the Monster Energy Compound on the Midway or in the Grandstand Courtyard.
Yeah, we’re pretty excited too.
