The Calgary Stampede announces its first-ever motocross quarter pipe

May 31 2018, 11:15 pm

The Calgary Stampede just added another adrenaline-pumping event to its jam-packed roster.

For the first time ever, the Calgary Stampede has introduced the Monster Energy Compound, a motocross quarter pipe event that will see riders launch up to 30 feet in the air.

The event will feature seven shows per day and include nine different motocross athletes, including X Games medalists Axell Hodges, Kris Foster, and Jeremy ‘Twitch” Stenberg.

Each day of the event will feature three Freestyle Motocross (FMX) shows and three quarter pipe shows.

To cap off every evening of high-flying action, an encore performance will strategically take place at the same time as the Stampede fireworks.

This Monster Energy Compound will take place from Friday, July 6 to Sunday, July 15 and is free with admission to the Calgary Stampede.

The Calgary Stampede Superpass is also still available for purchase until Monday, June 11 and includes the motocross and full access to other events for $39.
