The YWCA Walk a Mile In Her Shoes is an annual fundraising event that asks gentlemen to step up and take a stand to help break the cycle of family violence in our city. Individuals register online and commit to fundraising $1,000 each so the fundraising goal of $150,000 cab be met.
This year on Tuesday, September 20, gentlemen will step into a pair of high heels and walk down Stephen Ave from Bankers Hall to Olympic Plaza. Although family violence is a very serious matter, this fun and light-hearted event asks gentlemen to challenge each other to participate and help women and their children walk away from family violence.
