Calgary's new taiyaki soft serve spot is now open

Calgary, you’re about to get a brand new taiyaki ice cream spot.
Uzu Taiyaki offers Japanese fish-shaped waffle cones filled with sweet things like chocolate and berry compote, and of course, soft serve ice cream with modern Asian-inspired flavours.
There will also be a variety of toppings up for grabs like strawberries, sprinkles, Oreos, Pockys, Teddy Grams, gummy bears, and handmade marshmallows from local purveyor The Chocolate Lab.

This spot was initially aiming to open during this past Family Day weekend, so we’re looking forward to stepping into the Millennial pink, neon, and white marble-accented space on 2nd Avenue to try after its opening date, February 23.
