  • What: Wine and cheese, yes please! Join wine steward, Kevin Schorath for an evening as he takes you through specific and unique flights of wine from both Germany and Austria and teaches you how to pair them with cheese and charcuterie.

FREE Lunchtime Barre, HIIT and Yoga Classes

  • What: On every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday join Barre Body Studio, Live YYC and Lululemon Ambassador Stef Rizvi for free classes of HIIT Barre and Yoga at 12pm sharp in front of the EV Experience Centre. There is no better way to spend your lunch hour!

River Forth Dining Car Lunch

  • What: Launching this June is a unique gourmet dining experience at Heritage Park that is a different alternative to a traditional restaurant! The 1929 “River Forth CP Rail Car” has been fully restored to its original beauty as a dining car so you can go back in time and experience what it would have been like to travel across Canada by train in the early 1900’s.

As you like it – Shakespeare by the Bow

  • What: Theatre Calgary is bringing As you like it outside starting Tuesday, June 20, as it begins its annual outdoor performances of Shakespeare by the Bow. Performances are pay-what-you-will and non-ticketed, so you can just turn up with a blanket and picnic and settle in; the suggested donation is $20 per adult.
  • Where: Prince’s Island Park – 698 Eau Claire Avenue SW
  • When: June 20 to August 217, every day except Monday’s, performances at 7 pm, with an extra 2pm matinee on Sundays.

$5 Class Week at DJD

  • What: Decidedly Jazz Danceworks is offering a week of dance classes for only $5 per class! This is a great opportunity to try out a style you have never done before, try dance classes for the first time or come out of retirement and get your groove back on.

Movement U New RowBody Classes 

  • What: RowBody is the newest addition to the work out selection offered at Movement U and soon to be your new little secret as to where you got those killer washboard abs. As with all programs at the studio, music is the backbone to this heart-pounding, 45-minute cardio workout that focuses on full body strength training and is split between the rower and floor exercises. This workout will target and tone over 80% of the muscles in your body, giving you the results that you have been looking for!

Put the “Her” in Heritage

  • What: The Window Galleries present three new exhibits that focus on the alternative narratives of those whose voice was excluded from the first 150 years of our nation.

Utopia Factory

  • What: UTOPIA is a research and exhibition project that aims to engage in a larger discussion on how our communities are formed, while also encouraging a dialogue on topics such as Nationalism, state-making, inclusion etc. Be sure t o check it out soon, as it ends in July!

The Stridents – TRUCK Contemporary Art in Calgary

  • What: This multidisciplinary installation will intrigue your senses and your mind. Andrea Roberts brings together sound using early recording techniques, vocal incantation, and drones mixed with groupings of prints and sculptures to explore feminist resistance in the context of neoliberal capitalism.

Craving Kensington

  • What: This March, Calgary Food Tours is bringing back everyone’s favourite, Craving Kensington. On this 3-hour walking-tour, you will eat your way through this inner city village at some of the foodie hotspots, while also learning about the charming history and architecture of the area! EV Junction Pop-Up Retail Park

  • What: New to the East Village this summer, this Pop-Up retail park offers Calgarians a place to shop, eat and play. Granary Road Farmers Market Grand Opening

  • What: There is a new farmers market in town that includes a learning park, a public market, The Loft Kitchen and a bakery that will fill the market with the aroma of freshly baked treats each morning.

Cheer on the Calgary Stampeders

  • What: Cheer on our Stamps as they make their way to the Grey Cup! Regular season has already begun, head to a game in town this Thursday while you enjoy the sun.

Calgary Tower stair climb
