The long weekend is finally here, and we have a ton of awesome things happening in the city. So, for those of you who aren’t using the extra day to get away, here are 10 things to do in and around Calgary this long weekend.

What: Experience this brand-new event at Heritage Park, and see centuries of military history spring to life! Engage in a sword fight with a Viking, cheer on a medieval jousting match, and feel the boom of Civil War cannons blasting.

It’s no secret that Calgary has a rich culinary scene, and at this food festival, you can sample a little bit of everything. A unique mix of restaurants and beverage companies will be serving up samples all weekend long.

Check out Calgary’s Ice Cream Festival
